We are looking for:

Hospitality Assistant for Saturday School needed (SF South Bay)

The South Bay German School, located in Campbell, is seeking a Hospitality Assistant to assist with the coordination and management of the hospitality program at the school when classes are in session.  German language classes are offered to approximately 280 students (adults and children) on 30 Saturdays during the school year.  On each Saturday, SBDS offers a variety of snacks, bagels and slices of cakes or pastries for purchase by the students and parents.  Hot drinks are also prepared and sold.

Hours:  15 Saturdays per semester, 2 semesters per year.  9am – 12pm each Saturday.

Primary Responsibilities for the Hospitality Manager:
+ Setting up the hospitality area at the SBDS campus.
+ Preparing items to be served and sold on Saturday. These are typically bagels, slices of cakes, muffins and an assortment of candies, chips, bottled water, boxed juice / milk and coffee / tea for the adults.
+ Selling hospitality items to students and parents during the 30 minute break each Saturday.
+ Cleaning up the hospitality area, packing up all remaining items into bins and storing the bins in the SBDS office on campus.
+ All of these items are done in conjunction with parent volunteers. 

Optional:
Additionally, SBDS hosts 3 special events each school year.   Additional work hours would be available to the new Hospitality Assistant to help with the preparation, hosting and clean up of the food and drinks for these special events.  This is desired, but not required.  The 3 special events are:
+ St. Martin’s Day evening event (on SBDS campus on a Saturday evening in November)
+ Christmas party (typically at the Campbell Community Center) in December
+ May party to celebrate the end of the school year.  “Maifest” is held on the last Saturday of the school year on the SBDS campus.

Substitue Teacher, Substitute Music Teacher, and Teacher Assistants Saturday School needed (SF South Bay)

The South Bay German Language Saturday School (SBDS) in Campbell, CA has open positions for Substitue Teachers, a Substitute Music Teacher, and Teacher Assistants.

Workdays are on Saturdays from 9am - 12pm.

Primary Responsibilities for Substitute Teacher
+ Depending on teacher placement
+ Material and curriculum provided
+ Create a wonderful learning environment filled with fun events

Primary Responsibilities for Substitute Music Teacher
+ Provide music to several classes (ages from toddler to 7th Grade), preferably with an accompanying instrument (e.g. guitar)
+ Songs are available, also the possibility to observe and get information from current music teacher

Primary Responsibilities for Teacher Assistant (usually in classes PreK to 8th Grade)
+ Assist the teacher, follow instructions
+ Create a good learning environment

Experience/Education/Skills Required:
+ Proven ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with school staff and parents.
+ He/she should be fluent in German and English.
