Beginner and Advanced German Classes – Preschool, Elementary, Teen and Adult Levels
The South Bay Deutscher Schulverein (SBDS) makes learning German easy with our contemporary curriculum, methodology and teaching philosophy. Dedicated and experienced staff from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland teach children, teens, and adults of all levels. Classes emphasize conversation, in addition to reading and writing. Your whole family can experience German, Austrian, and Swiss culture through the vibrant community, cultural events, and art and music programs. SBDS is a Saturday school and a California 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.

8th gradeMy job takes me to Europe a lot, so I decided to learn German at SBDS. Even though I'm a complete beginner, the staff makes me comfortable and the teaching style actually works. The whole school has a terrific atmosphere. I really enjoy the weekly "Kaffeeklatsch" and unique events like the Maifest.
