Weihnachtsfest 2024

On December 14, 2024, we held our annual Weihnachtsfest (Christmas Fest). The event was a great success with over 200 attendees! Students, teachers, families, and many community friends were able to attend. We enjoyed coffee and hot chocolate, nuts, oranges, and an incredible array of home-baked German Christmas cookies and German Stollen! 

The program included many classes performing traditional and non-traditional German Christmas songs, from our preschoolers performing “Kling Glöckchen” to the teenagers performing a Christmas rap. We also had the opportunity to sing both German and English songs together as a community. Special thanks to the Germania Choir for entertaining us as well! 

As always, the teachers did a fantastic job of creating a unique program that allowed our students to show off their skills but also feel part of a bigger community that celebrates their accomplishments and progress. 

We concluded the program with a special visit from Santa Claus (Weihnachtsmann) who brought gifts to all the children and even some of their siblings and adults.  

A huge thank you to all the organizers and volunteers who made this event happen. The amount of love and dedication that went into the organizations is remarkable – from prepping the event venue, to thinking through and preparing every detail of food, drinks, volunteers, decorations, and more. We even had a taste testing of different hot chocolate recipes beforehand! We could not do it without you and this community.
